THE DARK KNIGHT RISES gets a new trailer thanks to Nokia!

What a pleasant surprise this morning.  We have a brand new trailer sponsored by Nokia for next month’s conclusion to Chris Nolan’s Batman epic, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES.  It’s haunting, foreboding and even let’s loose a minor spoiler, especially if you are not aware of the relationship between Bane and Batman in the comics.  I only mention this because if you are not aware of their relationship, you might want to skip this one.

It’s amazing to me to see just how different Marvel’s THE AVENGERS and Chris Nolan’s THE DARK KNIGHT RISES are when you think about taking characters from a comic-book and bring them to the big screen.  With Marvel’s THE AVENGERS, there was a lot of faith in the source material and the result is a fantastical reality that looks like the comic-book literally came to life, but with THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, Chris Nolan has taken the character of Batman and his mythos and really worked at bringing it into a realistic environment.  Two completely different approaches and both work for what they are.  I’m interested to see how the finally of Mr. Nolan’s trilogy plays out on screen, especially since we are most likely going to be seeing a new version of Batman gracing the screen in the near future with news that a JUSTICE LEAGUE movie and a shared universe from DC is on its way.

Either way, check out the trailer below and let us know what you think in the comments below.
