Director Marc Webb’s reboot THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN seemed to kick off to rather shaky reaction from fans (myself included), but the more we’ve seen from it the cooler it’s beginning to look. Now we’re treated to a new and improved trailer, giving us a better idea of what to expect. This baby hit the web at 2am Central time, a rather odd decision, but needless to say we were on top of things. The film, set to hit theaters in July 3, 2012 in 3D and 2D, stars Andrew Garfield (Peter Parker / Spider-Man), Emma Stone (Gwen Stacy), Rhys Ifans (Dr. Curt Conners / The Lizard), Denis Leary (Captain George Stacy), Irrfan Khan (Van Atter), Martin Sheen (Uncle Ben Parker), and Sally Field (Aunt May Parker). Check it out below and tell us your thoughts in the comments. Are you more on board with the idea of a reboot now?

And as a backup should the one above disappear…
