Red band trailer for MACGRUBER movie looks fun! New pics too

I’ve always been an apologist for the SNL movies, and will stand by my love for A NIGHT AT THE ROXBURY until the day I die.  But let’s face it, some of them haven’t been exactly… stellar.  WAYNE’S WORLD was a bit hit, but WAYNE’S WORLD 2 fizzled.  Films like SUPERSTAR and THE CONEHEADS just never seemed to pick up steam past their own concepts.  Well now we’ve got a MACGRUBER movie, starring SNL regulars Will Forte and Kristin Wiig.  If you’re like me, you’re probably wondering how they’re going to take a (usually) 60-second skit and stretch it out into a full-length film.  Judging by the new red band trailer below, it looks like they might have the right idea.  Jorma Taccone (SNL writer) makes his big screen directorial debut, and has assembled a great supporting cast including Val Kilmer, Ryan Philippe, and Powers Boothe, plus other SNL regulars Bill Hader and Maya Rudolph.  MACGRUBER is definitely looking better than ever.
