Warner Bros. has (finally) released a new official teaser poster for director Christopher Nolan’s THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, the third installment in his popular Batman franchise. This comes after a TON of fan-made posters (that in all honestly looked very similar), but will undoubtedly cause people to begin speculating on what exactly the fate of Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) will be in this new outing at the hands of Bane (Tom Hardy).
The film co-stars Gary Oldman (back as Commissioner James Gordon), Nestor Carbonell (also back as Mayor Anthony Garcia), and Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine also reprise their roles as Lucius Fox and Alfred Pennyworth respectively. New to the cast (outside of Tom Hardy and Joseph Gordon-Levitt) are Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate, Matthew Modine as “Nixon”, and Josh Pence as Young Ra’s Al Ghul. There’s also rumor we’ll see a cameo (possibly in flashback) of Liam Neeson once again playing Ra’s Al Ghul. Check out the poster and tell us your thoughts in the comments below. Born and raised in Dallas, Mark has been a movie critic since 1994, with reviews featured in print, radio and National TV. In addition to Hollywood reporting, Mark has worked for many years as an advertising and sci-fi/comic book artist. Clients have included Lucasfilm Ltd., Topps Trading Cards, The Dallas Mavericks and The Dallas Stars. From 2002 until 2015 he managed the Dallas Comic Con, Sci-Fi Expo and Fan Days events in the DFW area. He currently catalogs rare comic books and movie memorabilia for Heritage Auctions, and runs the Dallas Comic Show conventions, but remains an avid moviegoer and cinema buff.
