The Texas Theatre hosts two nights with director Alex Cox – films followed by Q&A

If you’ve not yet experienced the nostalgic greatness that is the Texas Theatre, you’re missing out on one of the coolest repertory cinema experiences the DFW area has to offer. This Thursday and Friday night should make your definite “do not miss” list, as legendary director Alex Cox (yes, the guy responsible for REPO MAN and SID AND NANCY) is going to be in town and in the house for two nights of his films on the big screen. The best part is Alex Cox will be doing a Q&A after each film, and we’re actually hosting the Friday night festivities. Check out details below straight from the Texas Theatre, or hit the Facebook Event page here.

You may have guessed that we’re pretty big fans of Alex Cox. We carry Repo Man koozies for chrissakes! Well we felt pretty bad that week of the ice storm when we showed Repo Man / Sid n Nancy and Straight to Hell along with Repo Girl and well – the turnout was “iced”
SO …
to make up for it..

You may also bring in your own related material to be signed (with the price of admission).

Groupon tickets are not applicable to this special event.

That’s all you need to know.  Events like this are a cherished rarity in this area, so do not miss out and regret it later.  I promise to make the Q&A’s on Friday night as epic as possible… and I’m definitely showing up in time for HIGHWAY PATROLMAN, as I’ve yet to see that!  Who knows, Alex and I may get into a little Sergio Leone discussion if time permits.
