Bruce Willis wants to make DIE HARD 5… and 6… worries he could be replaced.

Back in February, while Bruce Willis was promoting COP OUT, he had mentioned that DIE HARD 5 could be filming next year, adding he’d gladly hire back Len Wiseman (LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD) to direct again. Now, while pushing RED (which opened last weekend), Willis is telling Showbizspy that he wants to do a fifth AND sixth installment for the popular franchise… and seems a bit cautious over the fact that the studio could potentially replace him.

“In the next few years they could easily find a replacement for me or call the character someone else”

“But for me, I want to do Die Hard 5, then one final Die Hard movie — Die Hard 6 — before finally hanging that white vest up for good.”

“At the moment, I can run and I can fight on screen. But there will come a time when I no longer want to do that. That’s when I’ll step away from the Die Hard films.”

At 55, Willis consistently proves he can still do the action scenes, and truly seems to love the character of John McClane, never shying away from talking DIE HARD when it’s inevitably brought up in interviews for other films.  It appears as if his willingness to keep kicking arse may come from his recent co-starring with the legendary Ernest Borgnine in RED.

“I just worked with Ernest Borgnine on Red and it was a blast. He’s incredible, and sharp. He’s awesome. Thank god we didn’t have any fight scenes with him, because he would’ve kicked our asses! And than have gone, ‘ Alright who’s next!’ But he really is unbelievable and he’s 93-years old.”

Willis also noted in the interview that he has no intention of retiring.  Heck, if Borgnine is still acting at 93, where does ANY actor get off saying they’re retiring?  So what do you think, are we ready for TWO more John McClane outings?  Can Willis still DIE HARD any time he feels like it?  Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
