In today’s world, it’s becoming harder and harder to simply shock the general public. Movies like the HOSTEL and SAW franchises as well as many more have found ways to take death and torture to new levels, that we as a general public have become more and more desensitized to these kinds of films. Imagine, if you will, a movie like HOSTEL opening in the same year as GONE WITH THE WIND. It’s hard to imagine because I don’t believe that a movie like that could have even been made back then due to its content. We as a society have become more and more immune to the shock tactics that it truly takes something bizarre to stir our curiosity. With full disclosure, I myself am counted in the category of highly curious.
Enter 2010’s THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE (FIRST SEQUENCE), a rather slow moving entry into the world of torture and horror films with such a twisted and sick premise it immediately demanded the attention of the world because, well, no one had seen that before. Three people surgically attached to each other, mouth to, um, well, you should know by now, forming one digestive track. It was something that people just had never seen before and wanted to see out of perverse curiosity. Tom Six has now followed up his initial movie with his latest entry, a movie that sees THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE (FIRST SEQUENCE) as we did, a movie, only in this world; the perverse curiosity has turned to perverse obsession with the film and the subject matter by the film’s central character Martin.

You will notice that almost to the end of the trailer, there is a disclaimer showing that the film was Banned in the UK and a quote from the British Board of Film Classification stating:
Poses a real risk that harm is likely to be caused to potential viewers.
Upon investigation at the BBFC website, the film has indeed been Restricted which, in the UK, means that this movie is not seeing the light of day.
THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE 2 (FULL SEQUENCE) is directed by Tom Six and stars an undisclosed cast. It tells the story of a man who becomes sexually obsessed with a DVD recording of the first film in the series, “The Human Centipede,” and uses sandpaper to pleasure himself whilst watching the film. He decides to create a “human centipede” of his own, this time comprised of twelve victims as opposed to the first film’s three.
THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE 2 (FULL SEQUENCE) hits theaters in a limited capacity on October 7, 2011.
