New posters: CABIN IN THE WOODS, TUCKER AND DALE VS. EVIL, SALVATION BOULEVARD

New posters: CABIN IN THE WOODS, TUCKER AND DALE VS. EVIL, SALVATION BOULEVARD

UPDATE: Just received word from LionsGate that THE CABIN IN THE WOODS poster is a fake, so it’s been removed.

Got a few new one-sheet designs for you to check out today.  First up is the theatrical poster for THE CABIN IN THE WOODS.  Directed by Drew Goddard (who wrote CLOVERFIELD and produced big TV shows like LOST and ALIAS) and written by Goddard and Joss Whedon, the film stars Chris Hemsworth (THOR), Fran Kanz (DOLLHOUSE), Kristen Connolly (AS THE WORLD TURNS), Anna Hutchison (GO GIRLS), Brian J. White (MEN OF A CERTAIN AGE), Jesse Williams (GREY’S ANATOMY), Bradley Whitford (THE GOOD GUYS), and Richard Jenkins (LET ME IN). It promises to be “A twisted and unusual take on the familiar ‘cabin in the woods’ formula.” Count me in.

.

The next two come courtesy of IMPawards.  First up is a film I’ve been anxiously awaiting since it popped up in a big way on the film festival circuit last year.  TUCKER AND DALE VS. EVIL is another sort of parody of the “cabin in the woods” formula, or at least makes fun of movies centering around the hick killers living in the woods.  Director Eli Craig helped makes this a critic favorite a various festivals, and it’s nice to finally see an official poster hitting the net.  It stars Alan Tudyk (FIREFLY) and Tyler Labine (REAPER)… you need another reason to get excited?

.

Lastly is SALVATION BOULEVARD, from director George Ratliff (JOSHUA).  The movie is based on the book by Larry Beinhart, and takes a darkly humorous look at the mega church phenomenon.  If you missed it, check  out the trailer and my interview with George from a few months ago here.  The film starts Pierce Brosnan, Greg Kinnear, Jennifer Connelly, Marisa Tomei, Ed Harris, Jim Gaffigan, Isabelle Fuhrman, and Howard Hesseman.
