IT CAME FROM DALLAS returns tonight for some Texas film fun!

There are film festivals, and then (every now and then) there are events you just love the hell out of going to.  Our good friend Kelly Kitchens (how awesome is that name by the way) runs promotions for a little diddy called “It Came From Dallas”, which returns tonight!  This edition promises more great fun, and as usual some nice Texas flair.

While most sequels feature diminishing returns and rehashed plotlines, the sixth installment of the Dallas film industry send-up “It Came From Dallas” on Thursday, October 21 at Studio Movie Grill Dallas (Royal Lane at Central Expressway) looks to be just as riotous as its predecessors.

The annual fund raiser for the Dallas Producer’s Association “showcase[s] films, commercials, corporate videos and even some home movies – all of which share some dubious distinctions in terms of debatable quality, questionable production values and poor taste—all in good fun, of course.”

Hosting the affair is longtime DPA member Gordon K. Smith, along with LeeAnne Locken. The theme this year – “Skeletons From The Closet” – looks to unearth rare secrets that even the most knowledgeable film buffs didn’t know about their hometown.

“With an all-new format, some neat electronic surprises and a commitment to pick up the pace of the evening’s proceedings, ‘It Came From Dallas!’ threatens to be better than ever,” said DPA co-founder Bob Dauber, executive producer for the event.

“It Came From Dallas 6″ gets underway at 7:30 pm at Studio Movie Grill Dallas, with doors at 6:30 pm. More information is up at the DPA web site.
