PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 2 trailer is here – clues hidden within it!

Okay, since director Oren Peli’s PARANORMAL ACTIVITY came out in regular theaters, transcending its film festival reach, there’s been split opinions about its effectiveness.  Some found it to be incredibly scary, while others though it was over-hyped and anything but frightening.  Personally, I enjoyed it for the creepy factor, and respected what the filmmakers were able to accomplish on the modest $11,000 budget.  It’s even more impressive when you realize the film made over $100 million theatrically, prompting Paramount Pictures to fasttrack a sequel, which is now done.  Check out the new trailer for PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 2 below.  Note, this one is not directed by Oren Peli, but instead helmed by Tod Williams (THE DOOR IN THE FLOOR).  There’s also no official word on who the stars of the film are, though many are suspecting that the woman shown late in the trailer is in fact Katie (Katie Featherston) from the first movie.  Also note, if you haven’t seen the first movie yet, there’s some MAJOR spoilers in this trailer, so be aware before you watch it.  Once you check it out, scroll down further for into on some possible clues in the trailer.

Pretty creepy-looking stuff.  I sure hope that poor dog makes it out alive.  And adding a baby to the mix?  Yikes.  Now if you’ve got really sharp eyes, you might notice a few things in that trailer.  The fine folks over at SlashFilm had one of their readers send in some stuff they spotted, along with the following screencap, which highlights some things you may or may not have noticed.  Check it out below.  The quote “What is happening to Hunter” and some unusual mirror reflections may be cause for great discussion before the film hits October 22, 2010.
