THE TRIP TO GREECE trailer – Steve Coogan & Rob Brydon take one last delicious journey together

If you’re not familiar with THE TRIP movies, you’ve been missing out. Each film follows buddies Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon, playing (we assume) heightened versions of themselves, traveling exotic countryside and enjoying great food, all while humoring each other with clever impressions of famous actors. The series has been directed by Michael Winterbottom (THE TRIP, THE TRIP TO ITALY, THE TRIP TO SPAIN), and he returns to helm THE TRIP TO GREECE which brings back Coogan and Brydon for one last big screen journey together. This was set for a May theatrical release, though we may have to make due with VOD as the Covid-19 concerns will likely keep movie theaters closed for the next few months. The new film co-stars Kareem Alkabbani, Marta Barrio, Rebecca Johnson, and Claire Keelan. Check out the trailer below and tell us your thoughts in the comments. If you’ve never seen the previous installments, do yourself a favor and change that now.

When Odysseus left Troy it took him ten years to get back to his home in Ithaca. Steve and Rob have only six days on their own personal odyssey in THE TRIP TO GREECE. On the way they argue about tragedy and comedy, astronomy and biology, myth, history, democracy and the meaning of life! Featuring locations such as: Temple of Apollo at Delphi, the Ancient Agora of Athens, the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, the unique island of Hydra, the Caves of Diros, Nestor’s Palace, Niokastro Fortress in Pylos, and Ancient Stagira, as well as a lot of shooting in restaurants and hotels in Athens, Hydra, Lesvos, Chalkidiki, Pelion, Kavala, and at the Peloponnese.

THE TRIP TO GREECE is scheduled to open in theaters and on VOD on May 22, 2020
