Zack Snyder’s MAN OF STEEL gets two teaser trailers.

Zack Snyder’s MAN OF STEEL gets two teaser trailers.

In case you aren’t aware, there’s a comic book movie coming next year from producer Chris Nolan (BATMAN BEGINS, THE DARK KNIGHT, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES) and director Zack Snyder (300, WATCHMEN) that is a complete on-screen reboot of the most well-known super-hero of all time, yes, the big daddy himself, Superman.  The movie, MAN OF STEEL, will not link back to the original Richard Donner Films, a-la SUPERMAN RETURNS, nor will it even share the familiar Superman Theme as brilliantly done by John Williams (this one will include an all new score by acclaimed composer Hans Zimmer).

This is a teaser in the purest sense of the term.  We see many gorgeous shots that bring up memories of Terrence Malick’s TREE OF LIFE trailer.  The music in the background is taken from the funeral of Gandalf in the LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy and both of the teasers are the same visually.  The only difference between the two is the narration.  The first one has a voiceover from Kevin Costner (Jonathan Kent – Superman’s adoptive father) and has an overall meaning of choice, whereas the second one, with the voiceover from Russell Crowe (Jor-El – Superman’s birth father) gives an overall feeling of destiny.

Check them both out below and let us know which one is your favorite:
