Bigfanboy.com’s big rumor for THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN confirmed by toys – plus a good look at The Lizard!

Back on February 20, 2011, we posted an exclusive spoiler about an action scene audiences would see in director Marc Webb’s THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN big screen reboot.  It looks like we were right… and remember, you heard that rumor here first!  The fine folks at SuperheroHype (who gave us credit on the original rumor) by way of BleedingCool (who did not give us credit yet, but we still like ’em) posted some images of the Lego-like toys called Mega Bloks coming out to coincide with the film’s 2012 release.  Multiple sets are being released, which you can see more images of at BleedingCool, but the set below is the one of note, as it confirms our SWAT Lizard rumors.  You can see the set includes a Spidey figure, a Lizard figure, and a “SWAT Lizard” figure.

As mentioned in our original article published in February of 2011:

One of the primary important crew members (who shall remain nameless) recently let it slip to one of our readers (a trusted one at that) that many of the stunt actors in the film have been spending time in heavy make-up for hours on end because of a fight scene in the film where they’re turning all the S.W.A.T. team guys into reptilian creatures… which I’d assume is some nefarious work of The Lizard.

So there you have it.  Confirmation of what should be a rather cool sequence.  Spread the word, and please, let everyone know where the original rumor came from… which is HERE.

Also, IdleHands posted another toy image of a remote with The Lizard’s monstrous likeness on it. Check it out here:

Also don’t forget the Dallas Comic Con in May of 2011 was the place fans first heard Stan Lee spoil his cameo in the film.  We posted that video too, which was picked up by MTV and others.  The DCC returns in May of 2012, as “Stan Lee presents The Dallas Comic Con”, so who knows what juicy rumors he’ll drop there!  Check out the now-famous Dallas Comic Con video of Stan below.
