Second Red-Band trailer for THE SITTER hits starring Jonah Hill and Sam Rockwell

Second Red-Band trailer for THE SITTER hits starring Jonah Hill and Sam Rockwell

IGN has the latest trailer for next month’s R-Rated babysitting flick, THE SITTER, starring Jonah Hill.  As comedies go, this one looks like it is going for the over-the-top, no-holds-barred approach to comedy much like some of the most popular comedies this summer, only this time, little kids are getting in the mix.  Jonah classes with everyone in this movie, whether it’s the spoiled little girl or defiant little boys he’s babysitting for, a bar of rough and tumble characters, or a drug dealer (Sam Rockwell).  In fact, from the trailer, the only two people he seems to get along with are the mother of the children whom he highly, um, admires, and a cool-cat doorman.

It will be interesting to see if there will be genuine humor in the movie that’s playing like an R-Rated ADVENTURES IN BABYSITTING or whether the crudeness will take away from the hilarity.  Only time will tell.  Jonah has proved that he is a comedy force this looks like this will be the last comedy we see from jolly, overweight Jonah and for a while as he has recently slimmed down for his role in the remake of 21 JUMPSTREET, also due out next year.

Check out the trailer below and as always, let us know what you think in the comments below.

WARNING:  This is a red-band trailer and contains adult language and situations.

THE SITTER is directed by David Gordon Green and stars Jonah Hill, Sam Rockwell, Max Records, Kevin Hernandez, Landry Bender, J.B. Smoove and Method Man.

SYNOPSIS: The irreverent comedy will harken back to 1987’s “Adventures in Babysitting.” It follows a college student, suspended for the semester and living back at home with his single mom, who has a night to remember when he gets talked into baby-sitting the eccentric kids next door — two boys and a wild 8-year-old girl.

THE SITTER is set to hit theaters on December 9, 2011.
