Dallas – Bigfanboy presents I MISSED COMIC-CON at Zeus Comics (Aug 17) – meet comic creators, get free stuff

imc-header

Let’s face it, not everyone can make it to San Diego Comic-Con, and it sucks reading about all the cool creators and amazing swag that fans get when you’re not there to get it yourself. Well, that’s where we come in, for the Dallas crowd at least. On Saturday, August 17th, Bigfanboy.com is proud to present the first (hopefully of many) I MISSED COMIC-CON event at Zeus Comics & Toys (just South of 35 and Inwood). Come meet local comic book creators, get your favorite comics signed, and even commission an original sketch if you like. Plus Bigfanboy will be giving away tons of cool promotional items from upcoming movies, along with signed items, DVDs, and more. Please note, the items the comic creators bring, and the merchandise in the store is NOT free… but we’ll give you plenty of free stuff. If you live in Big D, you will not want to miss this.

Robert Wilson IV – artist of KNUCKLEHEADS

As previously mentioned, Bigfanboy.com will have a table where we’ll give away tons of cool freebies both comic book and movie related. We even brought back some items from San Diego Comic-Con, so you’ll have a shot at getting some show exclusives without being at that show! Some of the items we’ll be giving away include the following:

KICK-ASS 2 posters
TO DO LIST posters and RED 2 posters
THE WOLVERINE posters
WHITE HOUSE DOWN posters
WHITE HOUSE DOWN t-shirts
THIS IS THE END t-shirts
THIS IS THE END posters
RED 2 t-shirts and hoodies
THE LONE RANGER posters
IRON MAN 3 t-shirts
TRANCE t-shirts
and more!

We’ll also be giving out passes to see MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES on Monday, August 19 at 7:30pm in Dallas.

And some of the prize items we’ll have on hand include:

THE CROW reboot posters featuring art by James O’Barr (these are gorgeous)
DREW: THE MAN BEHIND THE POSTER theatrical posters signed by Drew Struzan
Marvel CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER San Diego exclusive concept posters
KICK-ASS 2 theatrical one sheet posters signed by co-creator John Romita Jr.
KICK-ASS 2 Dallas Comic Con exclusive mini-lithos signed by John Romita Jr.
and more!

And the best part of all is admission is FREE! Parking is FREE! The event will be held from 11am until 4pm (possibly 5pm if still crowded). Promotional items will be given out at various times to make them last, so there’s no guarantee certain items will be available at certain times. Most free items are one per person. Families are encouraged, though parents please make sure to keep an eye on your kids. This store is filled with collectibles, so we don’t want any unexpected damage. If you bend it or break it, you buy it. Hope to see everyone there, and tell your friends!
