Enter to win a classy TINKER TAILOR SOLDIER SPY chess set

We’ve teamed up with the fine folks at Focus Features for a very classy contest. To celebrate the release of TINKER TAILOR SOLDIER SPY in theaters, we’re giving readers a chance to win a snazzy promotional chess set – and once you see the movie you’ll understand the significance of that – plus a spy pen (with a voice recorder in it) and a novel too. This may just be one of the coolest contest prize packs we’ve ever offered, so we’re making the entry process very specific and challenging.

First, you must answer the questions below by sending us an e-mail (if the link to the left doesn’t work the address is thebigfanboy[at]gmail.com):

· The title of the story is taken from the name of a nursery rhyme: ‘Tinker, tailor, soldier, sailor, rich man, poor man, beggar man, thief.’ Some of these are used to refer to the high-ranking men under suspicion. Just about everyone and everything has got a code name. What would your code name be and why?

· Who is your favorite spy novelist?

· What is your favorite spy movie?

· Gary Oldman has starred in a wide variety of movies through the years – name at least two of his roles based on real life people.

Second, since this is a contest based around a spy movie, you need to play detective and find out a few hidden bits of information within this website. Remember, there’s a search box in the upper left-hand corner of the page, so that should help you. In the e-mail you send, also answer the following question:

· I’ve interviewed Michael Biehn and Jennifer Blanc-Biehn twice for Bigfanboy.com – what are the two most current movies they’re in that we talked about? I need you to answer with both movies, and both must be correct.

Remember, all of these questions must be answered in the e-mail for your entry to count.  We want this to go to a worthy home!  Contest is open to U.S. residents only, deadline to enter is December 31, 2011.  One entry per household, multiple entries will be discarded.  Winner will be notified through e-mail on January 1, 2012.  Go see TINKER TAILOR SOLDIER SPY in theaters, and tell us your thoughts in the comments.
