Official (REALLY hi-res) photo & title treatment: THE WOMAN IN BLACK with Daniel Radcliffe

We’ve already posted a few things here and there about the upcoming Hammer Horror film THE WOMAN IN BLACK, which stars HARRY POTTER headliner Daniel Radcliffe.  What’s we’ve seen looks pretty dark and moody, and hopefully will fare better that the previous Hammer revival attempts (such as the exceptional but little-seen LET ME IN by Matt Reeves, and the direct-to-video THE RESIDENT starring Hillary Swank).  However, today is the first “official” release on info on the film coming to us direct from the studio.  We’ve seen photos already, but this new photo comes straight from the source.  THE WOMAN IN BLACK has a release date of February 3, 2012.  In this first look photo, you can see a young lawyer (Daniel Radcliffe) who travels to a remote village where he discovers the vengeful ghost of a scorned woman is terrorizing the locals.

And here’s the official title treatment for the movie.  Check it all out and tell us your thoughts in the comments.  Can Radcliffe have life after POTTER?  Will this be Hammer’s triumphant return to the horror genre?
