We’re following the comic book movie adaptation BAD KIDS GO TO HELL pretty closely, and earlier this week broke the exclusive that FARSCAPE and STARGATE SG-1 actor Ben Browder had been cast as “Max”, the school janitor. Now we have a few behind the scenes on set photos to share with you, courtesy of the official Facebook page for the film. Check the out above and below. The movie is currently shooting in Austin at Spiderwood Studios, and things are looking good. If you’ve never read the graphic novel, you might not fully appreciate some of these shots, particularly things like the statue Ben Browder is standing next to in this shot:

…or how a simple shot like this is already evocative of what the comics have shown us:

Things are moving along, and BAD KIDS GO TO HELL is definitely on our radar. Outside of Nelson and Browder, the film’s cast also includes Cameron Deane Stewart (“So Undercover,” “That’s What I Am,” “iCarly,” “Justice for Natalee”), Ali Faulkner (“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn,” “Boneboys,” “Humans vs. Zombies,” “Maggie’s Passage”), Marc Donato (“Sick Boy,” “The Final,” “White Oleander,” “Pay it Forward,” “Billy Madison,” “DeGrassi: The Next Generation”), Roger Edwards (“Freelancers,” “Spy Kids 4,” “Stop Loss”), Amanda Alch (“Moon Ring,” “When Zachary Beaver Came to Town,” “Birdie and Bogey”), and newly cast actresses Augie Duke and Chanel Ryan. BKGTH will be directed by Matt Spradlin and produced by Barry Wernick. Be on the lookout for more news soon, and hopefully some behind-the-scenes video and interviews as well. It’s great to see a production like this getting underway in Texas, so we’ll be watching it with great enthusiasm.
The Breakfast Club meets The Grudge in this sexy, dark comedy-thriller! Six prep school kids from Crestview Academy, home to the spoiled offspring of society’s elite, find themselves stuck in detention on a frightfully dark and stormy Saturday afternoon. During their 8 hour incarceration, each of the six kids falls victim to a horrible “accident” until only one of them remains. As each of these spoiled rich kids bites the dust, the story takes on a series of humorous and frantic twists and turns. Is one of the kids secretly evening the school’s social playing field? Or have the ghosts of prestigious Crestview Academy finally come to punish the school’s worst (and seemingly untouchable) brats? One thing is for sure…Daddy’s money can’t save them now. (Based on the best selling indie comic book series/graphic novel of the same name)

Browder pulled this movie onto MY radar and I’m so glad for it!!!! The graphic novel is a blast and I have the highest hopes the movie will be too!
Good deal! You hear that, Spradlin?!
Very nice behind the scene pictures. Looking forward to more Ben Browder pics!
Thanks for the good press on this one. Really looking forward to seeing how the comic translates to screen. So far really like the casting choices.
talented writers, incredible actors, producer, director and now, we’re looking forward to a most adoring audience to view this dyna-mite new flick!
Great production… Lots of fun… Spiderwood Studios Stage one made it happen, 2 story set with roof and skylight, rain, lots of power with 3 camlock systems and lots of A/C. Go production, “Bad Kids Go To Hell”
Tearing down the set. Kinda cool. Can’t wait to see it.
Who is Augie Duke, she is beautiful.
Augie IS beautiful, and very nice and friendly with everyone on set. Most of the “KIDS” are new faces in terms of acting, but all of them are very good at what they do. The end result should be very impressive.
