Let's put an even bigger smile on Mark Hamill's face!
In the past few years I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Mark Hamill… not just getting to know stuff about him mind you, but actually getting to know him. We’ve had multiple dinners together, watched old movies and classic TV shows (like CAR 54 WHERE ARE YOU?), and I’ve even had the pleasure of pulling him to safety amidst an out-of-control mob of Japanese STAR WARS fans (while in Japan). What can I tell you about Mark? Well, I can tell you that while he’s always happy to field the never-ending barrage of questions pertaining to Luke Skywalker, perhaps his favorite role ever played (from what I can tell) is that of “The Joker” on BATMAN THE ANIMATED SERIES. Earlier this year Mark had the chance to revisit that character one more time in the smash hit video game BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM. The game itself is incredible (ask any hardcore gamer), but it was The Joker’s wacky one-liners that stole the show. Mark’s enthusiastic voice performance made that game perfect. Well this weekend is the Spike TV 2009 Video Game Award Show (the show airs LIVE December 12th), and it just so happens that Mark Hamill has been nominated for a ‘Best Voice’ award. Now if you’re familiar with the game, or even if you’re not, there’s just no doubt that he deserves to win this hands down. But we want to insure that win, especially since Mark is scheduled to be at the award show. So I want all of you to drop what you’re doing, and go HERE.
