‘TRON LEGACY’ poster revealed… and hi-res pic!
Jeff Bridges and Bruce Boxleitner return to their fan-loved roles from TRON, and they’re joined by Garrett Hedlund (who I interviewed for his villain role in DEATH SENTENCE – which you can hear HERE), Olivia Wilde (hot!), John Hurt (must have THE best agent in Hollywood), and the always enigmatic Michael Sheen for TRON LEGACY.  In this outing Hedlund plays Sam Flynn, the 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn (Bridges), who is looking into the disappearance of his father.  But it isn’t long before Sam finds himself battling inside the computer program world his dad knows all too well.  But the game has changed, and things are much more perilous than before.  Can Sam survive, or become a victim of the machine?  Check out the TRON LEGACY teaser poster from Disney below.  You can click to make it bigger.

If you were a child in the 1980’s, chance are you grew up a fan of the original TRON, and have had the same fondness I posess ever since.  It’s very exciting to see this story get continued, especially in this day of constant remakes.  I remember the first thing I thought when I heard Disney was considering a TRON sequel, and that was “It better have Jeff Bridges in it, or I’m not interested.”  Well thankfully it does, and in many ways it sounds like this picks up (albeit many years later) where the original movie left us.

And then there’s this high-resolution still from the m0vie, spotlighting Olivia Wilde (did I mention HOT!) and Garrett Hedlund in uniform, undoubtedly ready to battle the forces of evil.  Gotta say, ever though this is all we’re seeing online so far, I’m pretty pumped on this one.  Click the photo to super-size it.

Wow.  2010 is looking like a good year for movies.  A new TRON film?  And it’s in 3-D?  And they even brought back Bruce Boxleitner?!  Now if only we could convince them to put Cindy Morgan (Yori in the original) in there… even if just for a cameo.
