86th Annual Academy Awards 2014 – full list of winners for the Oscars, our picks included

oscars2014

The Oscars have come and gone, and now we have the full list of nominees and winners for each category for all The Academy Awards. A few surprises in there, like the much-hyped AMERICAN HUSTLE not winning a single award it was nominated for, and neither Sandra Bullock or Julia Roberts winning Best Actress or Best Supporting Actress awards. GRAVITY swept all the technical awards, and earned Alfonso Cuarón a Best Director Oscar. Ellen DeGeneres did an excellent job of hosting the show, mixing the right amount of fun and funny, even going off stage for a bit through the proceedings Her selfie with the stars is already legendary. Check out the list and share your thoughts in the comments below. Remember, our “picks” below are what we though would win, not necessarily what we wanted to win. Looks like we were pretty close this year.

In addition to Hollywood reporting, Mark has worked for many years as an advertising and sci-fi/comic book artist. Clients have included Lucasfilm Ltd., Topps Trading Cards, The Dallas Mavericks and The Dallas Stars. From 2002 until 2015 he managed the Dallas Comic Con, Sci-Fi Expo and Fan Days events in the DFW area. He currently catalogs rare comic books and movie memorabilia for Heritage Auctions, and runs the Dallas Comic Show conventions, but remains an avid moviegoer and cinema buff.
