UPDATE – Contest over. Winners have been notified by e-mail. Thanks to all who entered. A few words of advice for future contests. Please don’t send us messages asking if you won or when we’ll announce winners. Secondly, and most important, follow directions. All we asked of people is to give us a few sentences of why they were excited for this movie… and some folks couldn’t be bothered to do even that. We wish we had more than five sets of passes to give, but this screening is pretty limited. We received hundreds of entries. Stay tuned for info on future promotions.
Bigfanboy.com has partnered with DreamWorks Pictures to give our readers a chance to win passes to a very early screening of NEED FOR SPEED, with star Aaron Paul and director Scott Waugh in attendance! The new film also stars Michael Keaton, Dominic Cooper, Imogen Poots, Dakota Johnson, Nick Chinlund, Han Soto, Kid Cudi, Carmela Zumbado, and Rami Malek. We’ve got five pairs of passes to give away, but please note these are not guaranteed seats, you’ll need to wait in line with everyone else, and depending on when you arrive you may or may not make it in if the theater fills up. We’re warning you now so you can’t say we didn’t tell ya.
If you’d like to enter to win passes, just send us an e-mail and say “NEED FOR SPEED seats!” in the subject line, AND in a few sentences tell us why you’re excited for this movie. The screening is Wednesday, February 5 at Cinemark West Plano – it starts at 7:00pm, slightly earlier than most screenings. Following the screening, Aaron Paul and Scott Waugh will participate in a Q&A for the film. Get those entries in a good luck!
The story chronicles a near-impossible cross-country race against time—one that begins as a mission for revenge, but proves to be one of redemption. In a last attempt to save his struggling garage, blue-collar mechanic Tobey Marshall (Aaron Paul)—who with his team skillfully builds and races muscle cars on the side—reluctantly partners with wealthy, arrogant ex-NASCAR driver Dino Brewster (Dominic Cooper). Just as a major sale to car broker Julia Bonet (Imogen Poots) looks like it will save the business, a disastrous, unsanctioned race results in Dino framing Tobey for manslaughter.
Two years later and fresh out of prison, Tobey is set on revenge with plans to take down Dino in the high-stakes De Leon race—the Super Bowl of underground racing. To get there in time, Tobey must run a high-octane, action-packed gauntlet, dodging cops coast-to-coast and dealing with fallout from a dangerous bounty Dino put on his car. With his loyal crew and the surprisingly resourceful Julia as allies, Tobey defies odds at every turn and proves that even in the flashy world of exotic supercars, the underdog can still finish first.
