Marvel’s THOR: THE DARK WORLD hits DVD and Blu-ray on February 25, and if it’s anything like most Marvel movies we expect lots of cool bonus features to be included. But if you can’t wait a few weeks, check out two different deleted scenes from the movie now. First up is a variation of a scene that was included in the film, where Thor and Loki have partnered up to fight Malekith. In the movie, there’s a moment where Loki is shape-shifting into various folks, and changes into Captain America (which allowed a cameo by Chris Evans). But apparently they shot the scene two ways, and now you can see what the same joke would have been like without Chris Evans. The unfinished graphics in the background would indicate they decided early not to use this version. Regardless it’s fun to see.

And here’s another deleted scene posted by USA Today, which features more interaction between Chris Hemsworth and Rene Russo as “Frigga”:

And then there’s this fun bit of business. SuperheroMovieNews posted a couple of animated Gifs of a screentest of Tom Hiddleston… as Thor? Turns out before Chris Hemsworth got the job at the long-haired hero, Tom Hiddleston was one of the screen tested actors for the lead role. Obviously things didn’t work out, but seeing how awesome Hiddleston has made the character of Loki, this is one of those circumstances where things definitely worked out for the best. We expect to see more from this on the Blu-ray.
