Why wait on Zack Snyder? Kevin Conroy & Tim Daly give us BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN right now!

While everyone anxiously awaits the Zack Snyder’s MAN OF STEEL sequel, BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN (starring Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill once more as Superman), there’s already a take on this classic rivalry available to us. If you haven’t been watching “The Daly Show” on YouTube, you’re missing out on some of the most fun short films the web has to offer. Featuring Tim Daly and his son (and doppelganger) Sam Daly, and directed by Ben Shelton, these shorts frequently poke fun at Tim’s history of voicing the Clark Kent/Superman on SUPERMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES (1996-2000). The show ran at the same time as the hugely popular BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES, which featured Kevin Conroy as the voice of Bruce Wayne/Batman. So now, thanks to these guys, we finally get to see a live action Batman versus Superman… sort of. Just watch the video, it’s good stuff. There’s fun moments of Kevin and Tim spouting off their respective superhero dialogue, and even some creative nods to THE DARK KNIGHT RISES and MAN OF STEEL. It definitely makes my video pick of the week, so check it out and see if you don’t agree on the greatness this contains.

And here’s a few other “The Daly Show” videos worth a look if you haven’t seen them. First up, THE DALY SUPERMAN which features both Brandon Routh and Dean Cain. Superman fans should get a kick out of this one:

Then there’s this episode, THE DALY SUPERHEROES, featuring Nathan Fillion (who voiced Hal Jordan in the GREEN LANTERN: EMERALD KNIGHTS animated movie) and a brief appearance by SMALLVILLE’s Michael Rosenbaum:

And finally, one of their best spots, about how to be “A little less douche.” This is also referenced in their other videos more than a few times, including the BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN video:

Now if only I can figure out a way to get Tim and Sam to come to Dallas Comic Con in May…
