THOR: THE DARK WORLD new clip – Thor and Loki’s high-flying Asgard hijinks

We’ve posted more than a few articles on Marvel movies coming up, and the next big one to take on the box office is almost here. THOR: THE DARK WORLD hits theaters on November 8th, and so far everything we’ve seen is looking really good. The story looks rather dark and serious, which isn’t a bad thing. However, this new clip (which you can watch below – posted by Moviefone) looks a little more fun and exciting, featuring Thor and his bad brother Loki (who team up in the film) flying around Asgard in some sort of ship, trying to outrun the (we assume) bad guys. Not unlike the Malekith clip we posted before, this reminds me a bit of STAR WARS, especially those moments where Princess Leia would give Han Solo a hard time for his flying skills. Check it out for yourself and tell us what you think in the comments. Are you looking forward to Thor’s next big screen adventure?

THOR: THE DARK WORLD is directed by Alan Taylor and stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Christopher Eccleston, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano, Jaimie Alexander, Rene Russo and Anthony Hopkins. It’s based on Marvel’s classic Super Hero Thor, who first appeared in the comic book “Journey into Mystery” #83 in August, 1962.

Marvel’s “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s “Thor” and “Marvel’s The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos… but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

THOR: THE DARK WORLD opens November 8, 2013
