The JACKASS movies have always been a lot of mindless fun.  We as a society seem to love idiocy (as long as we are not directly effected by it) and the Jackass team delivers that in bundles.  Now, with the new film, they have switched formats.  Johnny Knoxville will be playing his Grandpa character, Irving Zisman, which we have seen in several of the previous films however this time, the film will be more of a linear story instead of just several moments of random goodness.  Taking the approach used by BORAT and BRUNO, we will see Johnny and his new sidekick Billy (Jackson Nicholl) gallivanting around interacting with real, everyday people who are unwittingly placed into crazy situations thanks to these two.

I have to admit that while watching this trailer, I literally laughed out loud a few times especially during the beauty pageant scenes.  After seeing the popularity of things like Honey Boo Boo and Toddlers and Tiara’s, it is no surprise to see how at least one member of the audience reacts once this scene is over.  Sometimes it is fun to laugh at our society’s idiocy.

So, let us know what you think of the trailer below.  Would you have rather they stayed with their normal formula or are you excited to see Johnny Knoxville taking the BORAT and BRUNO route?

JACKASS PRESENTS: BAD GRANDPA is directed by Jeff Tremaine and stars Johnny Knoxville and Jackson Nicholl.

SYNOPSIS: 86-year-old Irving Zisman is on a journey across America with the most unlikely companions, his 8-year-old Grandson Billy in “Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa.” This October, the signature Jackass character Irving Zisman (Johnny Knoxville) and Billy (Jackson Nicholl) will take movie audiences along for the most insane hidden camera road trip ever captured on camera.

Along the way, Irving will introduce the young and impressionable Billy to people, places and situations that give new meaning to the term childrearing. The duo will encounter male strippers, disgruntled child beauty pageant contestants (and their equally disgruntled mothers), funeral home mourners, biker bar patrons and a whole lot of unsuspecting citizens.

Real people in unreal situations, making for one really messed up comedy.

JACKASS PRESENTS: BAD GRANDPA is set to hit theaters on October 25, 2013.
