SDCC 2013: EDGE OF TOMORROW Character Posters for Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt

The 2013 San Diego Comic-Con has officially wrapped up and we are in the process of putting together our recap articles of all of the amazing news that was released this weekend.  With so much being revealed, it can be easy to over look some of the “smaller” releases.  Case in point, here are two posters (the first poster was brought to you here) for Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt for next summer’s film EDGE OF TOMORROW (Formerly ALL YOU NEED IS KILL).  The film, which sounds like a science fiction GROUNDHOG DAY, seems pretty interesting so hopefully we will get to see some footage soon by way of a trailer.

Either way, check out the two new posters and let us know what you think in the comments below.

EDGE OF TOMORROW is directed by Doug Liman and stars Tom Cruise, Emily Blunt, Bill Paxton, Kick Gurry, Dragomir Mrsic, Charlotte Riley, Jonas Armstrong and Franz Drameh.

SYNOPSIS: The epic action of “Edge of Tomorrow” unfolds in a near future in which an alien race has hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault, unbeatable by any military unit in the world.

Lt. Col. Bill Cage (Cruise) is an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is unceremoniously dropped into what amounts to little more than a suicide mission. Killed within minutes, Cage now finds himself inexplicably thrown into a time loop, forcing him to live out the same brutal combat over and over, fighting and dying again and again.

But with each battle, Cage becomes able to engage the adversaries with increasing skill, alongside Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski (Blunt). And, as Cage and Rita take the fight to the aliens, each repeated encounter gets them one step closer to defeating the enemy.

EDGE OF TOMORROW is set to hit 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D theaters on June 6, 2014.
