SDCC 2013: First footage from THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 – “You Wanna Know How Powerful I am? Well I do too. I’m Electro”

Oh boy, we knew we were going to get some good teasers, announcements and footage from the San Diego Comic-Con which kicked off yesterday and already we are not being let down.  The first film out of the gate with previously unseen footage next summer’s sequel THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2.  While the footage is quick, it does tease an even larger reveal for tomorrow, July 19, 2013 in SDCC’s famed Hall H.  Check out the teaser below and be sure to check back tomorrow because as soon as the footage goes live on the net, we will have it here for you as well.

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 is directed by Marc Webb and stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Colm Feore, Paul Giamatti, Sally Field, Chris Cooper, B.J. Novak and Sarah Gadon.

SYNOPSIS: In  “The Amazing Spider-Man 2,” for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy; between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person  he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough.  Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her  by staying away, but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change  for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend,  Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his  past.

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 is set to swing into 2D and 3D theaters on May 2, 2014.
