300 by Zack Snyder was one of the most visually stunning films to come out in a long, long time and its unique take on the 300 Spartans ensured that the film had an intriguing story to go along with the visual feast. We are now (finally?) getting a sequel to the film directed by Noam Murro (SMART PEOPLE) and with that, the marketing is slowly starting to trickle in. We now have four character posters for the flick which you can see below. These have been slowly popping up on line over the past few days so I expect we will see more drop including Eva Green’s Artemesia. As they become available, we will update it here for you so stay tuned to BigFanboy for updates.
Updated with Eva Green’s Character Poster:
Update 2: Added the poster for Sullivan Stapleton as Themistokles
Let us know what you think in the comments below. Are you excited to see this sequel or should they have just let it remain as a stand-alone film?
300: RISE OF AN EMPIRE is directed by Noam Murro and stars Sullivan Stapleton, Eva Green, Lena Headey, Hans Matheson, David Wenham, Rodrigo Santoro, Igal Naor, Callan Mulvey, Jack O’Connell and Andrew Tiernan.
SYNOPSIS: Based on Frank Miller’s latest graphic novel “Xerxes” and told in the breathtaking visual style of the blockbuster “300,” this new chapter of the epic saga takes the action to a fresh battlefield, on the sea, as Greek general Themistokles (Sullivan Stapleton) attempts to unite all of Greece by leading the charge that will change the course of the war. “300: Rise of an Empire” pits Themistokles against the massive invading Persian forces led by mortal-turned-god Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro), and Artemesia (Eva Green), vengeful commander of the Persian navy.
300: RISE OF AN EMPIRE is set to hit 2D, 3D and IMAX theaters on March 7, 2014.
