With the San Diego Comic-Con just around the corner, you can expect a lot of new movie news in the upcoming weeks as studios try desperately to top one another with sneak peeks at their upcoming slate of movies.  Entertainment Weekly has posted some covers for their SDCC preview issue which includes new looks at CARRIE, ENDER’S GAME and BBC America’s new Sci-Fi Television series ORPHAN BLACK.  All of these we have seen in some capacity including trailers and official looks, but the one that is the most revealing is the first official look at Jamie Foxx in full-on bad guy garb as Max Dillon’s alter-ego Electro from next summer’s sequel THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2.

While we have seen random set photos of Foxx in blue make-up, we now get to see what his character will look like with the special effects added and even have a good look at his costume which does seem to be channeling the Ultimate version of the character.  I do like the addition of the lightning bolt on his arm though and I’m glad they didn’t go with just a plain black costume.  The blue / black / grey mixture is good in my opinion, but I am sure there are still many out there that would have preferred to see him in his classic yellow and green costume (for the life of me, I can’t figure out why as that is one of the silliest looking costumes ever created).  I imagine seeing him crackling with energy is going to be nothing short of fantastic.

Hopefully with SDCC right around the corner, we will also get our first looks at Paul Giamatti as Rhino and possibly even the new Green Goblin (Chris Cooper and Dane DeHaan are playing Norman and Harry Osborne) and possibly even Vulture (Colm Feore is playing his alter-ego Adrian Toomes) as well.  So, what do you think of the look.  Are you on board?  Are you still one of the few that wish that would have brought his original, goofy looking costume to the big screen?  Let us know in the comments and also check out the other covers below.
