Video interview: Kevin Hart explains KEVIN HART: LET ME EXPLAIN

It was just over a year ago when I first met Kevin Hart. He was in town to promote his movie THINK LIKE A MAN, which as it turns out was quite good, thanks largely in part to Kevin being so funny in it. This weekend his stand up comedy documentary KEVIN HART: LET ME EXPLAIN opens in theaters, which is a great entry in the hall of memorable “comedians in concert” films, as well as a personal pulling back of the curtain on Hart’s family life. While it’s impressive how far Kevin has come in a short period of time, much of it can be attributed to his personal touch when it comes to promotion. One of the reasons he was in town this week was to make surprise appearances at multiple movie theaters for opening night of his film. He did the same thing last year with THINK LIKE A MAN. That sort of grass roots promotion, even when it isn’t needed, is the kind of thing that cultivates a respectable career in show business. I for one think the success Hart has had is well earned, so I was happy to speak with him once again, this time about LET ME EXPLAIN which is another solid theatrical entry for the rising comedy star. Check out our latest interview below. Big thanks to the intrepid Ric Mulligan for shooting this.
