That’s right, you’re not dreaming, we did just have a movie where The President of the United State was taken hostage and one man had to save him… and the White House was destroyed in the process. But Gerard Butler’s OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN has yet to be determined as the DEEP IMPACT or ARMAGEDDON of the similar themed films this year. Director Roland Emmerich (INDEPENDENCE DAY) is the one behind WHITE HOUSE DOWN, which stars Channing Tatum in the John McClane-ish role and Jamie Foxx as The President. We’ve already seen some teaser trailers, but now we have a full trailer that shows a lot more of the action we can expect. I gotta say, it looks pretty entertaining, even if I just saw it… er, saw something just like it that is. Take a look and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

WHITE HOUSE DOWN is directed by Roland Emmerich and stars Channing Tatum, Jamie Foxx, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jason Clarke, Richard Jenkins and James Woods.

SYNOPSIS: In Columbia Pictures’ “White House Down,” Capitol Policeman John Cale (Channing Tatum) has just been denied his dream job with the Secret Service of protecting President James Sawyer (Jamie Foxx). Not wanting to let down his little girl with the news, he takes her on a tour of the White House, when the complex is overtaken by a heavily armed paramilitary group. Now, with the nation’s government falling into chaos and time running out, it’s up to Cale to save the president, his daughter, and the country.
