The first teaser trailer for Walt Disney Pictures’ THE LONE RANGER didn’t show much, but the second trailer made up for it. Now we get a third and final trailer, which pretty much shows (what looks like) all of the action. We already knew the origins of The Lone Ranger (Armie Hammer) are a bit dark it seems, Tonto (Johnny Depp) has a funny horse he talks to, and at some point there’s a big train crash. In the newest preview we see more of Helena Bonham Carter, and more of the bad guys. It all looks like fairly harmless fun. THE LONE RANGER is directed by Gore Verbinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, so with Disney and Depp involved, this could be a PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN magic formula all over again. That said, there’s been a lot of controversy about the production, with its reportedly insane budget and whatnot, and the sad death of a crew member during shooting. Being a fan of Westerns, I’m hoping for the best. Take a look at the newest (and supposedly final) trailer and tell us your thoughts in the comments.
