With the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One Blu-ray box set out this week, I guess it’s only natural the now is a good time to release a bunch of fun stuff to coincide with the fandom of these characters. Hence why today we get a look at two of the upcoming releases, by way of some rather cool concept art. CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER picks up where the first movie left off, and is directly tied into the death and resurrection of Steve Rogers’ pal Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), who has become The Winter Solider. We also get introduced to The Falcon (played by Anthony Mackie), and Robert Redford is appearing as “The Head of S.H.I.E.L.D.” – his words not ours. Take a look at some conceptual are below and tell us if this is looking good to you.

And here’s some new images from GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, which may be the harder sell for the comic book giant, but with James Gunn’s wacky sensibility at the helm, and the unusual characters involved, this one could just end up being a surprise hit. I’m loving what I see here, particularly the “bar” scene, which looks rather similar to the Cantina in STAR WARS (not that I mind), and of course the Rocket Raccoon image which is priceless… can’t wait to see that realized on the big screen. Check these out and tell us your thoughts in the comments.
