If you’re preparing to watch The Oscars on Sunday night, February 24th (and if you live in Dallas you should be watching them with us), it never hurts to remind yourself of the past Best Picture winners. But being that this is the 85th Annual Academy Awards, that’s a lot of films to keep up with. The folks at Indiewire found a fun little video which I respectfully stole… uh, borrowed (hey, I’m giving them credit, which some other websites never do) to post here, and it’s quite a find. The 4-minute presentation, put together by Nelson Carvajal, covers the very first Best Picture win for WINGS all the way up to last year’s win for THE ARTIST, and even ends showing all nine of the 2013 Best Picture nominees, begging the question of who will be next. Check it out below, and in case you don’t want to look up every single film shown here, we’ve also provided you with a complete list of all 84 Best Picture winners underneath the video. Which of these are some of your personal favorites? Who did you think will win on Sunday? A few months back I thought it would be ZERO DARK THIRTY, but now I’m thinking ARGO will take it. Tell us your guesses in the comments!
