THE LONE RANGER gets new poster and teaser for the 90 second Super Bowl spot

Johnny Depp (THE PIRATES OF THE CARRIBBEAN) is back in another crazy outfit, this time opposite Armie Hammer (THE SOCIAL NETWORK) as Tonto and The Lone Ranger respectfully.  The film sees Depp reuniting with PIRATES and RANGO helmer Gore Verbinski and while the film has been riddles with production problems, it now seems that everything is going great because let’s face it, if it wasn’t, Disney would not be sinking millions into a 90-second Super Bowl spot for the film.

The Lone Ranger - Poster - 002

Much like we had with the IRON MAN 3 story from tonight, THE LONE RANGER has a new poster that focuses more on the duo as opposed to being Tonto centric like the first one and we get a teaser for the upcoming spot this Sunday.  Check out the spot below and let us know what you think.  Are you looking forward to this one?  With this being the third character that Gore Verbinski has directed Johnny Depp as, do you see them becoming the new pair like Depp and Burton were before?

THE LONE RANGER is directed by Gore Verbinski and stars Johnny Depp, Armie Hammer, Tom Wilkinson, William Fichtner, Barry Pepper, James Badge Dale, Ruth Wilson and Helena Bonham Carter.

SYNOPSIS: From producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Gore Verbinski, the filmmaking team behind the blockbuster “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise, comes Disney/Jerry Bruckheimer Films’ “The Lone Ranger,” a thrilling adventure infused with action and humor, in which the famed masked hero is brought to life through new eyes. Native American spirit warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice, taking the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption.

THE LONE RANGER is set to HI-HO into the SILVER screens on July 3, 2013.
