Final trailer for A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD has Bruce Willis & Jai Courtney in action

I’ve said it before, I love the DIE HARD films, and the McClane character, but even I have to admit 2007’s LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD wasn’t what I wanted it to be. The fourth outing met with mixed fan and critic reaction (most being on the negative side), and sadly the powers that be decided to make that installment PG-13, taking away a lot of what made the DIE HARD movies so great – violence, foul language, and… more violence. The film seemed like a shell of what the John McClane stories used to be. It was Bruce Willis jumping into action, and acting cocky, but it just didn’t quite feel the same. Even then Willis stated he wouldn’t mind doing yet another film in the franchise should the opportunity present itself. The newest effort if called A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD, and is directed by John Moore (MAX PAYNE). Mary Elizabeth Winstead returns as Lucy McClane, though she’s not the focus this time out. In this story John McClane Sr. (Willis) teams up with his son John McClane Jr. (Jai Courtney) to fight local forces in Russia. The first few trailers looked fun, though I’m not used to seeing such a glib McClane, but this new trailer really pushed the action aspect. We’ll find out soon enough as A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD opens February 14… Valentine’s Day… the perfect date movie? Take a look at the final poster above and final full trailer, and tell us your thoughts in the comments.
