This year at San Diego Comic-Con, I got a chance to do a lot of exciting stuff, and there’s lots of video being processed to be posted soon on the site. One of the things I got a chance to do was get up close and personal with the new IRON MAN 3 armor, on display at the Marvel booth. Apparently I was one of very few people allowed to get up on the stage and take a close look at this thing, and it’s definitely impressive in person. Check out the video below. Some people are complaining about the heavy use of gold coloring, but I happen to find it interesting. It was also revealed at the show that Sir Ben Kingsley, starring in the third outing, will be playing The Mandarin – Tony Stark’s popular nemesis from the comics. In addition to Hollywood reporting, Mark has worked for many years as an advertising and sci-fi/comic book artist. Clients have included Lucasfilm Ltd., Topps Trading Cards, The Dallas Mavericks and The Dallas Stars. From 2002 until 2015 he managed the Dallas Comic Con, Sci-Fi Expo and Fan Days events in the DFW area. He currently catalogs rare comic books and movie memorabilia for Heritage Auctions, and runs the Dallas Comic Show conventions, but remains an avid moviegoer and cinema buff.
