Christopher Nolan's final chapter to his Batman trilogy hits this weekend with THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. There's lots of places where you could go see it, but we're once again hosting a midnight madness premiere at the historic Texas Theatre. Come to the Texas Theatre on Saturday (July 7), and we'll give you a free promotional BATMAN: EARTH ONE comic book and/or button (while they last - but we have a LOT) just for buying a ticket! Bigfanboy.com has partnered with Zeus Comics & Toys to celebrate the opening weekend of The Caped Crusader's new adventure on the big screen at the historic Texas Theatre. You could come watch the movie in classic fashion, and potentially walk away with a very cool comic book to remember it by! The Texas Theatre is a fantastic repertory cinema house, but they occasionally show first run features as well, and on this one we're helping them do it up in style.
You don't have to do anything special, just buy yourself a ticket for the Thursday (July 19) for the 11.59pm show - this is the only show this offer is good for! Costumes encouraged! You must show your ticket to get a comic and/or pin. Come join us Thursday night for all the fun.
A few notes - if you've never been to the Texas Theatre, this is a great place to see movies in a classic environment. Painstakingly restored by the fine folks at Aviation Cinemas, the main house features an impressive 650 seats. Perhaps best known in history as the location where Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested, you'll immediately feel the nostalgia upon entering the doors of this stylish building. The Texas Theatre also has a full bar and plenty of lounge seating, which is a great place to have a drink and talk about the film you're about to see... or just saw! We'll be hosting the midnight showing of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES on July 19 - the free comic offer is ONLY good for that showing.
NOTE: We'e giving away items while supplies last, so if you show up just before the movie starts, there's a good chance you will NOT get one of our goodies. Be aware of this.
