FOLKS – PLEASE NOTE we have changed the e-mail address used for entering contests. Please DO NOT e-mail the old address. Use the instructions below. Also, due to high demand and limited passes, ANYONE WHO DOES NOT FOLLOW THE RULES WILL ABSOLUTELY NOT GET A PASS. Do NOT send multiple entries, do not use multiple e-mail addresses, and do not e-mail us asking if you won. Thank you.
2012 is shaping up to be a really cool year for movies. Bigfanboy.com is working with all the major studios to give our readers a chance to see some of the hottest films early and for free. Up next we’re partnering with Sony Pictures to bring our Dallas crowd an advance screening of THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, directed by Marc Webb (500 DAYS OF SUMMER) and starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan, with Martin Sheen and Sally Field. The screening will be held in Dallas on the evening of Monday, July 2, 2012 – starts at 7:00pm – in IMAX. NOTE earlier than normal start time.
NOTE – these passes do NOT guarantee you seats, you must arrive EARLY to get a good seat. Showing up an hour before showtime will most likely see you being turned away. Make sure you’re aware of this!
READ THIS NEXT PART VERY CAREFULLY – DO NOT send more than one entry, do not use multiple e-mail addresses to enter for yourself, and do not get family members to flood our inbox with numerous entries. If you’re married, just send ONE entry – winners get a pass that admits two, so husband and wife do not need to send two separate e-mail to us. If you have kids, you are not going to win multiple passes from us, so do not send multiple entries. It’s amazing how many people ignore this – DO NOT SEND MULTIPLE ENTRIES OR ALL OF THEM WILL BE DELETED. Okay, hopefully you read and retained that. Now to enter our contest where you could win a pass for you and a guest, just send us an e-mail with the subject line “I want to see THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN!” All winners will be notified through e-mail on the afternoon of June 29. If the e-mail link doesn’t work (NOTE: we’re using a different e-mail address than normal), send your entry to hotfishstudios [at] hotmail.com – posting in the comments on this page does not count as an entry.
One entry per e-mail per household – do not use multiple e-mails for the same name, multiple entries for the same person or family will be discarded – DO NOT SEND MULTIPLE ENTRIES, EVEN IF THEY ARE FROM DIFFERENT E-MAIL ADDRESSES, OR THEY WILL ALL BE DELETED. DO NOT POST IN THE COMMENTS ASKING FOR PASSES. DO NOT SEND A FOLLOW-UP E-MAIL ASKING IF YOU’VE WON – WINNERS WILL BE NOTIFIED THROUGH E-MAIL.
“The Amazing Spider-Man” is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents’ disappearance – leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr. Curt Connors (Ifans), his father’s former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors’ alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.
THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN opens July 3, 2012

OMG can’t wait!!!!!
This looks the the summer #1 movie
is it known if there will be a lot of critics in this screening?, the theatre does not have a lot of seats so making sure that critics don’t have ALL the good seats
Critics are given two different options on screenings, a private press screening or this public screening. Chances are many will hit the private one, so there shouldn’t be TOO many reserved seats. But so you know that’s ultimately out of our control.
I want to see the amazing spider man!
Make sure to send us an email (per the instructions above) to enter.
