September saw the re-release of one of Walt Disney Pictures most beloved tales, THE LION KING, in 3D. In case you haven’t heard, they are not stopping there. This January, we will see the re-release of another one of their most beloved tales, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST in glorious 3D. I can only imagine how the ball-room dance scene, floating in from above the chandelier will look.
Yahoo has been given the distinct honor of debuting the new poster for the film and thanks to them, we have it now for our loyal fans. Check out the poster below.

Beauty and the Beast 3D is directed by Gary Trousdale and Kirk Wise and stars Paige O’Hara, Robby Benson, Richard White, Jerry Orbach, David Ogden Stiers, Angela Lansbury, Bradley Pierce, Rex Everhart, Jesse Corti, Hal Smith and Jo Anne Worley.
SYNOPSIS: Originally released in 1991, “Beauty and the Beast” is a classic “tale as old as time” that follows the adventures of Belle, a bright young woman imprisoned in the castle of a mysterious beast and his enchanted staff, who must learn the most important lesson of all, that true beauty comes from within. “Beauty and the Beast” was the first animated film ever nominated for an Academy Award, for Best Picture, earning an additional five Oscar nominations and winning two. It has grossed $380.4 million worldwide.
Beauty and the Beast 3D is set to hit 3D theaters on January 13, 2012.
