New poster and trailer for LONDON BOULEVARD – Colin Farrell stars in THE DEPARTED writer William Monahan’s directorial debut

William Monahan, who wrote THE DEPARTED for director Martin Scorsese, is making his directorial debut with the film LONDON BOULEVARD.  It stars Colin Farrell, Keira Knightley and the great Ray Winstone.  Now granted, if you’re looking for something akin to THE DEPARTED (which in all fairness is actually a remake of a Hong Kong film called INFERNAL AFFAIRS), this probably is going to stray a bit from your expectations, but it does look like a nice little British crime thriller… think LAYER CAKE.  Apparently the film already opened in the UK, but America audiences will get their chance to check it out this November thanks to IFC Films.  In the meantime take a look at the U.S. trailer below, the new poster above, and leave us your thoughts in the comments.

Fresh out of prison, Mitchell lands a legitimate job as a handyman for a rich actress who’s eager to reward him with cash, cars and sex. But Mitchell can never truly escape his violent past or the dangerous world of loan sharks, druggies and other bottomfeeders.

LONDON BOULEVARD opens November 11, 2011
