Mark Walters sits down for a one-on-one
interview with
PETER FONDA
Every now and then I get to sit
down with someone I consider to be a legend in Hollywood. Peter Fonda is
certainly no exception. Sporting a big smile and relaxed demeanor, he
greeted me in the private showcase room of Heritage Auction Galleries, where
we sat down to discuss the incredible items he had consigned for the upcoming
Music and Entertainment auction.
Looking over the magnificent collectibles, it was hard not to be overcome by
the amazing history behind them. The highlight without a doubt was the
flag featured on the back of his jacket from EASY RIDER. You
know, the jacket Captain America wore as he made his famous ride into the
hearts of moviegoers everywhere back in 1969? Yeah, that flag... sitting
side by side with the prototype Rolex watch he wore, the American Eagle badge
from his jacket, and so many other astoundingly cool pieces of memorabilia.
Anyone who has ever met Fonda knows the man has plenty of stories to tell, and
clearly loves telling them from the looks of it. It was an honor for me
to have the opportunity of speaking with such a talented man. In the
following interview, you'll hear Peter talk candidly about his experiences
working in film, and even get treated to a few personal stories in the
process. I only wish I could've talked to him for hours more, but the
time I did get with the man will remain cherished by me. The following
interview has been divided into two parts. Just click the PLAY button
and enjoy. Special thanks to
